Zebra Printer with Document Routing Agent

I have Document Routing Agent configured on working with all of my laser printers on my network with traditional reports but I have been struggling to get Zabra printers to work. Are there any special configurations that need to be considered?

I have the printer configured as a queue on the server running the document routing agent and it is visible in Dynamics as an available printer. When I print a test label from Windows to the printer I get a sample so I can see server to printer connectivity.

When I attempt to print a wave layout label to the zebra printer from Dynamics it never spools to the print queue. I validate this but placing the queue on hold so that I would see the document in the queue before it attempted to print.

I did the same test with the same label spooling to a laser printer and then it printed the ZPL code, which I would expect since the laser printer is a traditional PCL-based printer.  So this seems to confirm that the document was able to properly spool to another printer on the same server.

Any suggestions on this would be appreciated.

I haven't really heard people report issues specifically with this.

Can you post some screenshots of how you configured the wave label template / layout, and the printer config (from AX)?

The way things happen is that we:

    - Put the generated ZPL into the azure blob storage

    - DRA polls that queue and downloads the file

    - Sends the contents directly to the Zebra printer RAW

One of our network admins was finally able to get it working by adjusting the security on the service account. I don't think we quite understand the magic that finally made it work but it is working.

We are going to make an attempt in a couple of weeks, assuming is stays up, to connect to another environment and see if we can recreate the issue an fix.
