Contact View > Multiple System Quotes showing up (we're noting using the system entity Quote)

Any thoughts on what would cause the 7 Quotes under "Common" to be shown here?

I built a custom entity to handle our quotes (above the odd duplications - called "Sales Quotes"). Note how the two icons are different... for some reason the system is showing 7 Quotes, with the system icon for the Quote entity, and this contact, account and even CRM in general don't have 7 Quotes period!

I navigated here by going to Account > pressing the Contact > and then in the 3rd window that opened (the Contact record) the Site Map on the left contained these duplicated weird items.

Any thoughts? Thx! Starr

    Starr,

Sounds like you have a lot of cooks in the kitchen.

Would you mark my post as a answered so we can close out the post.

    Thanks.

I have one lookup for Contact in the custom entity "Sales Quote". I have a few other lookups but they are related to Account, Territory, & Owner.

I am going to chalk it up to import/dev madness as work was done with the SDK as well as the import manager that could have done something unbeknownst to me.

I am ripping the Custom Entities out and recreating today as I was heavily medicated on Sudafed yesterday and completely roached the Primary Field. Cest la vie! Thanks for your help Jerry!

PS. AutoNumber is still somewhere on my list - never did install that 14 day trial. Still want to and will be in touch.

That is little peculiar - do you have multiple lookups between the custom entity and contact?

    T0576.ContactDuplicity.PNG"quote" enttity.

Here's just an example of what I'm viewing. I checked all 3 relationships as shown here (Sales Quote is my custom entity):

and then checked to see if anything was listed in the Related Entity area for "quote" and I see nothing.

I then went to see the relationships in the system Quote entity and didn't see anything. I am assuming this is contact related as that is where I was when I saw the duplicity.... and alas there it is...

    BUT

How did it get there?? Going to try to get it to replicate now but it is absolutely baffling as I don't use the system Quote entity. TIA! Starr

This is due to the creation of the custom entity and the multiple relationships it  has.

You can remove all the irrelevant ones to  the Quote entity using the form customization window.
