Copy Advanced Query saved on my user to another D365 user

Dear Experts

Is it possible to copy an advanced query from my account to another account in D365?

Or as alternative,

Is it possible to assign a query to a favourite link ?

Unfortunately some menus in D365 do not allow to save on workspace .

In my specific scenario , I would like to assign a query on ProdParmRelease ( or Release Production) and then assign to the user so that once he or she clicks the link, it should auto-populate with the query

otherwise, it means I will need to log on with their account and save the query individually which is a nightmare

So , all Print Management settings get scrapped with DB refreshed.

Unfortunately there is no way of exporting and reimporting unless a developer builds an ad hoc data entity.

Regarding the query selection is not possible to save and copy across other users as far as I know.

having said that, a view can contain a query with ad advanced selection so if the object you are dealing with allows view managament you can workaround like that

Hi, did you ever find a solution for this? I have a similar issue with a print management query I want to copy from one instance to another

    Hi Alessandro,

Did you get an error when trying to use this in PROD?

    Thanks for the reply.

I cannot use this functionality on the Production Release.

    Hy Allesandro,

may I don#t understand correct what your requiremment is.

But there is another option you can send a filtered query to another user.

Just set your filters using "advanced filter and sort"

Then goto Options / Share / "Get a link"

Copy the string in the field. Then you can send the link to your colleague. If (s)he has approriiate user rigths they get the same filtered list as you created before.

    Thanks for the reply.

My requirement is a little more tricky.

You cannot use a view , the form "Production Release" is like a temporary table that is fed by a query.

I would like the user to have the query  already set on his/her account  ( by copying from my profile to the user) so that when running the query manually the records are ready for release.

    Hy Alessandro,

if you use the feature "Saved views" it should be possible to create a view, save it at your account and publsih the view to another user or security role.

"Saved views" have to be enabled at feature management first and can then assigned to another user,

Saved views can be managed at System Administration / Setup /Personalization. You need the approoriate rights to do this.

Further information about this is here: Saved views - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Docs
