Well I have an interesting scenario as it relates to INTERCOMPANY TRANSACTIONS...

When attempting to assign the Intercompany Alternate Account Destination Account, I am getting the following error:

    A save operation on table 'NIC_IC_Alternate_Accounts_LINE (45)

Might anyone have a clue on the resolution for this issue?

Was the DYNAMICS database or any of the company databases copied from another server? If so make sure this account does not exist in SQL or any of the databases first using SSMS. Once it is clear, try to add the account using GP. Also, try not to use the domain name as the user ID in GP. So if your user domain name is mydomain\myuser, make the name in GP anything other than myuser.

Have you verified that the sa account has the proper sysadmin roles in SSMS? Can you try using the DYNSA account?

    Hi Sunneil,

Any user already present in Dynamics & Company Database?

Number of users are equal in both database?

Yes I am logged in as 'sa'. User does not exist either in SQL or any databases, as tried creating many users with different names and getting same error.

You are logged into GP as 'sa', correct? Make sure this user account does not already exist in SQL for both SQL and on none of your databases, including DYNAMICS.

    Dear Natarajan,

I have checked odbc connection and it is correct as GP is connecting and all other windows are working perfect and hitting the tables in corresponding database. User is created in GP in stead of throwing error but as I had mentioned it does not create user in SQL.

Open SSMS(SQL server management studio) and connect to your GP SQL server instance and the expand security-->logins. Now verify the user which you have tried to create in GP is available or not. If yes, then right-click the user id and click delete. Then go to GP user setup window and create the new user id.

    Hope this helps!!!

    Hi pragadees,

Please make sure the link you are provided is correct or not. since the error snap and KB article are different.
