Hi,

I am designing report for version 17 of business central and on building .rdl file is generated. And on opening it with Report Builder I get this error that Failed to open report 'layout.rdl' in Business Central version  17.

But strangely if I create same report for version 16 if business central the .rdl file opened correctly. Is something change. Any help in this regard is highly appreciable.

In your RDL report, locate line 66. This is the offending one. Maybe this has been done with an old RDL syntax or not compliant with the one used with 17.x. Maybe a strange character?

    Hi Dulio,

You are right. There is a problem in report. I have made fields properly visible.

    Thanks
