Change "Regarding" from Contact to Account in an Activity

Recently I have tried to change the Regarding field on an activity from the active Contact to the Contact's Account.  When I do that nothing changes in the population below.  The contact names simply stay there as shown and do not convert over to Account names.  Everything pretty much locks up.  As such I cannot change the "Regarding" field.  I am using the new Windows 8 trial version and have IE 10, although I believe I had no problem with this after I switched.  Seems to be a problem I have only encountered in the last couple of days.  Any thoughts?

    You need to update CRM to roll up 7 I belive. Below roll up 7, Windows 8 and IE 10 is not supported...
