Is there a way to generate class from crm web api ?

Hello,

I have to use the CRM Web API. I have already managed to connect to my crm web api and retrieve some datas. But i get json data (captain obvious). So should i manually convert json to class using a json converter (like http://json2csharp.com/)? Or is there a way to generate this automatically ? Or is there any (un)official library that have already done this ?

To be more clear i want to use like this : www.odata.org/.../understand-odata-in-6-steps

Thanks to read me !

    Hello,

I'm really curious why do you use WebApi when you develop using .Net and you can use XrmTooling assemblies and Strongly Types entities on top of it.

Regarding wrapper generator - I don't know any. It's a good challenge though. You can create first and exclusive wrapper and share it with community!

    Hello,

I need to use the CRM Web Api because i have to expose some data to others applications. So some applications will retrieve datas from my CRM by accessing the Web Api CRM.

Is it possible to do that with what you are calling XrmTooling?

If yes, i'm wondering of the utility of the CRM web api.

Here is where you can start with XrmTooling - docs.microsoft.com/.../sample-quick-start-xrm-tooling-api

    Have fun.

We normally use CrmSvcUtil.exe coming with CRMSdk to generate classes from Dynamics CRM.  I am not sure this will help in your case.

I have played with serialize/deserialize in earlier versions.  Can't say if you can meet any json requirements there.
