Hello everyone!
Do you know if it is possible to connect Business Central with a Bank Of Englad (https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/boeapps/database/Rates.asp?TD=23&TM=Jul&TY=2021&into=GBP&rateview=D) in order to download exchange rates? If yes, do you have any instruction how to do it?
Thank you in advance!
If you use that url to get data in excel do you get a result? Similar if you use it in a http client like postman? You’ll stand a chance if yes.
David,
Adding to what Josh replied... I have used Float Rates to download my currency exchange. Here is a instructional handout to implement.
Thanks,
Steve

OMG thank you so much Steven for your instruction!
And one more quetsion - in United Kingdom it is common to use Float Rates to download currency exchange? I want to propose this to the client, but they say that they use for income tax monthly rate currency exchange from HMRC and for valuation Bank of England :)
Float rates is common because it is free and many have done instructions on how to configure it. If you can convince the accounts team to switch fx provider then it’s a winner
Hi David
I know you asked specifically about the url you mentioned. Josh and Steve provided extra info. In addition, you can see the following
This is sort of a general guideline to connect to any url if all conditions meet.

Or if you are on SaaS this is a new free app

Thanks
Josh replied back on your question and MahGah added more information.
Thank you, I have delved into the subject and will try to convince the team to FloatRates.
I have one more question. In Germany, the most common currency rate service is from ECB (European Central Bank) ? Or maybe also FLoatRates?
Hi
In my opinion, in general most rate from exchange rate services all close to each other. But central bank rate are more official.
If you like to use ECB as a source to be more official then you can
1) Follow this tread info/guideline: community.dynamics.com/.../1096202
2) or use this app: https://www.eos-solutions.it/en/historical-ecb-exchange-rates-en.html
I hope this help
