Failed to read entity keys from Microsoft Dynamics Nav - CRM Connector

I am using the Navision\CRM Connector.

I have successfully integrated Ennumerated Values, Currencies, SalesPersons, UOMS, Items.

When I integrate Nav Accounts to CRM I get the error :-  "Failed to read entity keys from Microsoft Dynamics Nav. There is an error in XML document (1,679)"

I have run Fiddler and can see it querying the records.

I have stripped down the mapping to 2 fields  - Account Number and NAme  - still get above error.

Only strange thing I noticed is that Fiddler does not display all the NAvision account fields.

Additionally I added extra fields to the Web Service Page for the account that did not display in the "out of the box" connector mapping.

Any Ideas?

    Konstantin,,

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

You were indeed correct  - we had a navision picklist field value in SQL that had a value that did not exist in the picklist dropdown in NAvision.

We traced the account record by using switching on the connector log and it actually give us the field causing the XML(1,3739) error. We then looked at this field in SQL and seen a value that looked strange!.

We changed the fields and ....... it worked - many thanks.

Can I ask how you sync in batches.

All invoices in table 5151 have a date modified fo 25/09/2012 as when the connector was installed.

We are looking to filter the last 6 months invoices, by changing the date modified in the SQL table Integration lines table. However when we try to select the last range of invoice numbers for the last 6 months the record id does not display "Sales Invice Header: SI123456" , instead it displays text that we do not understand?

Even if we use the connector filter option , it stills seems to query ALL the invoices and then apply the filter afterwards.

How did you sync in batches????

    Hi Bill,

I had similar error when I had not allowed character in one of customer fields (very often happen when data copy pasted from external sources in NAV.

To make sure that issue with data, I would suggest to perform next steps:

    1. Change "Check Data modified after" to NOW. So, when you run Connector, it not pick up any record.

    2. Make sure that map executed successfully and do nothing

    2. Create New Customer with minimum data.

If it will sync successfully, then apparently here is NAV data issue. If still same error, then something else ...

Here is I described my fun time with similar error:

    Cheers,

    Konstantin
