GP 2010 webservices create sales order return created key

In GP 2010 webservices, when we create a sales order using CreateSalesOrder method, there is no return value. Is there a way to get the sales order number (salesDocumentKey) created through this web service call?

    Yu,

It seems to be Next Document No webmethod is not Dynamics GP WebService. But in eConnect GetSopNumber() class is available and you can use it ; create custom webservice using eConnect and use it.

    GetSOPNumber has RollbackSOPNumber Method too.

Here is link for same : msdn.microsoft.com/.../ff623622.aspx

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks

Sandip is correct.  If you pass in a blank order number, gp will create it using the next default number but it won't return that number to you.  If you call the GetSopNumber class and you then pass that number to createsalesorder, then it will create an order with that number.  That way you know what number it is.  The GetSopNumber is in econnect though, not web services.

RE: GP 2010 webservices create sales order return created key

Hello We are using GP 2013, is it possible in this version of GP service to get Sales order key as return , because i am using GP from external application, i may need to cancel an order or may required Update but without ID it's not possible, and problem is GP will be in general use also so i can not collect all order and take last one as my order .

If there any alternate option please let me know too, also with bit coding guide , as i am new to GP ot much idea on this.
