Deleting Notes with Attachments

We have Notes with attached files on them.

If I delete the Notes, are the attachments also deleted or do they still reside in the system floating around?

If they are still in the system, where would I find them?

I want to delete them to free up storage.

Attachment is just a file stored directly in the note record(note entity has an attribute for that). So yes, attachments are deleted, too.

As also suggested by Alex, when you delete the note, the respective documents will also be deleted.

If you have deleted the notes and expecting the storage to come down then wait for some time and check later.
