Is there a way to import quickbooks 2024 to dynamics business central? Microsoft Data Exporter only supports quickbooks 2017 and 2018

microsoft data Exporter Tool can only work with quickbooks 2017 and 2018. Latest quickbooks is 2024. Has anyone recently migrated a customer from quickbooks?

You're absolutely right.

The Microsoft Data Exporter Tool currently supports only QuickBooks 2017 and 2018, which means direct migration from QuickBooks 2024 isn’t officially supported. But there are still viable paths forward:

1. Manual Export and Assisted Setup

Export your QuickBooks 2024 data manually to Excel or CSV

Use Business Central’s Assisted Setup > Migrate Business Data to import customers, vendors, items, and opening balances

You’ll need to map fields manually, but this gives you control over the data quality

2. Use a Third-Party Migration Partner

Several certified partners offer custom migration services for QuickBooks versions beyond 2018

They can help extract, transform, and load data into Business Central using APIs or staging tables

Example: and offer tailored migration support for QuickBooks to BC

3. Build a Custom Data Pipeline

If you have technical resources, you can build a migration pipeline using QuickBooks SDK or QBO APIs

Extract data from QuickBooks 2024, transform it to match BC schema, and import via configuration packages or web services

Whether manual or assisted, you can typically bring in:

Customers, Vendors, Items

Chart of Accounts and Opening Balances

Open documents (invoices, payments, credit memos)

Inventory quantities and general ledger entries
