Inquiry - Gen Posting Set Up - Service Items

Hi Community,

For SO and PO for a service item in the Gen Posting Set Up, COGS account is not a required set up but best to set it up to avoid notification of missing set up, is that correct? If yes, is it better to use a P/L account for maybe Other Costs or a B/S account for suspense account?

You have two options.

1. Enter a value in COGS that corresponds with either your COGS account or a placeholder value.

2. You can just disable the notification. Search for My Notifications and search for "G/L Account is missing" and disable it so it not longer displays:
