Unit Of Measure - Purchase Price

Hello,

Ive used the old Navision 3.0 for many years it had a great feature on a unit of measure, however, i can't seem to get it to work on BC, and its rather basic

e.g.

1 Item = 1 Item

20 Item = 1 Box

40 Box = 1 Pallet

if i setup item price = £2, in the purchase prices. in AX it would then automatically calculate the Box and Pallet Price i.e. £40 per Box £1600 per Pallet

in BC, it doesn't appear to do this.. when I create the order, and I want to buy 1 box, the price field is empty.

our issue

we are priced by our supplier in m2, however we dont a m2, we buy a Sheet..... so in the Unit of Mesure i tell it theres 3.22m2 per sheet... i then just want to tell it its £3.00 a m2..

I have the same question (0)

Have you defined all your unit of measures for the items and defined a price for them all?

Maybe I've not explained the problem

I've setup all the unit of measures.

I'm asking do I need to set a price for each unit of measure.... Is there a way to get it to calculate automatically as long as 1 price is entered?

All other ERP systems in the past I've used automatically calculate as long as 1 is done

As long as you have defined the UOM correctly you do not need to enter a specific price for every unit of measure. Then the system will use the sales price for the standard sales UOM and calculate with that price.
