(Correction!) Does RMS have a limitation to the number of line items that can be displayed/computed for the detail sales report

“Does RMS have a limitation to the number of line items that can be displayed/computed for the detail sales report.?

My reason for asking is that, when a detail sales report is generated for the period 31-Oct-2010 to 31-Jan-2011 the totals (Cost, Total Sales, QTY, Etc.) does not match the sum of the report totals for each month in the given period.

If the detail sales report is generated for any two (2) months within the period, the totals are correct however when the report is generated for a grouping of three (3) months or more the totals are not correct.

At another store with less transactions each month, the totals generated on the details sales report for the period 31-Oct-2010 to 31-Jan-2011 (Cost, Total Sales, QTY, Etc.) does indeed match the sum of the report totals for each month in the given period.

Hence my question for asking whether there is a limitation for line items that can be displayed/computed for the detail sales report.?

Kindly advise so I can have an expert opinion on this matter.”

    Good morning Don,

    Thank you for posting your question about incorrect information on a detailed sales report.

    From what I have been able to find out there is a limit; and it is around 1,000,000 rows.

    Can you please try running the Summary Sales Report, from the Reports Library, and see if that shows you the correct numbers?
