Contact Set Parent does not show custom entities

Good Day:

I created a custom entity in CRM.  It has activities enabled in.  In Outlook, I am trying to set the custom entity as the parent for a contact record in Outlook.  In the Look for Dropdown, I do not see the custom entity as an option.  Bot objects have Append and Append to enabled.  Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Omar Soto

    Hi Omar,

Did you create a relationship between the contact and your custom entity?

    Hi,

Agree with Stefan, if you do not have relationship between the entities, you won't be able to relate it. Perhaps a screenshot of your problem will help us help you more.

    Ravi:

I have several relationships.  As requested some images.

This is the screenshot of the problem in Outlook.  I need the entity sub-contractor in the drop down.

The next 2 shots are of the relationships already creates.  What you see is the idea that a sub-contractor can have multiple contacts associated with it, but only 1 primary contact.

    Thanks for all the help,

    Omar

    Hi Stefan:

Yes. I see it in the Set Regarding dropdown for emails, but not as Set Parent for Contacts.

    Hi Omar,

This won't work in this way with N:N relationships, only with 1:N relationships.

You should have a lookup field to the custom entity on the contact entity.
