This one is more directed at the solution architects. I have a requirement that is a perfect fit for the product configurator functionlaity. However, my client sells from CE because they're on the phone with the customer and then based on the customer's selection and preference the relevant items are added the sale. It is important for the client that the lines with their pricing are displayed in CE so that the customer immediately knows what their configuration will cost them before they place the order.
The second part is that the CE lines that was populated based on the customer's selected product configuration must then interface to Subscription billing so that it can be billed monthly. only then are the sales orders generated after the first month.
I would say a business that would be very similiar is a network providor that sells cellphone contract. The customer has the optionn to select what data package they want, what cellphone they want and then it has to be billed each month.
Any ideas for the design that we can use because to me it sounds like a standard business process but currently we require a ton of dev to make it work.
