Can i check which Customizations might cause problems when updating CRM before actually updating?

Or is the only way to just update and then download/check your log file?

how do you know what customizations may cause problems before they have run?

Can you explain your question in a bit more detail

    Sorry, what i meant was:

Within our CRM 2011 environment. We have implemented several customizations.

We were told to take into account that some customizations would be lost when upgrading to CRM2013.

Some things like say --- an account form --- losing those customizations would seem quite logical because CRM2013 would have a completely different UI.

But how about connections between accounts?
How about saved views in several entities?

Is it possible to get some kind of testaccount for CRM2013
    --- perform a test upgrade
--- see what customizations we might lose
--- and then prepare for the upgrade accordingly?

Hope this clears up my question :)

Right, you have cleared things up a bit.

You can open a CRM 2013 trial and then import your solutions and see what happens, in fact I would recommend this approach.

There is also a couple of tools to test your code

    Custom Code Validation Tool

    Legacy Code Checker Tool

you can find them on the link below (along with some other useful tools you might want)
