Deleting Personal Product Templates

Trying to delete a personal product template and even though it gives me the prompt as shown below, nothing actually happens and I can still select it from the Apply template in the released product form page. I go into Common>User options>Usage data>Record templates. Any suggestions? I have not applied the template and only created it but want to delete it.

Hi,
You can delete a personal product template by opening up the "apply template" button from released products screen, selecting and using Alt-F9.
Or you can check if you have permission to delete, maybe because of some security restrictions of user roles, you can assign user roles in the system.

Hi Hana,

Thanks for the reply. I did try the Alt-F9 and it does not work on my D365 version (10.0.33) and I also have System Administrator as my role so I should have no restriction on trying to delete.

Hi,
The version of my test environment is 10.0.0.35, and I can delete personal template records via Alt-F9. It needs to be ticked when you want to delete it. As shown in the screenshot:

In addition, I tested the record template shown in the screenshot in your question. When we create a personal template in the released product form, a record will be generated in the record templates of usage data, and this record cannot be deleted as you described. This may be the working mode of the system. If you really want to delete this record, my method is to try to clear it by clicking "reset usage data".

Just wanted to chime in on the topic of deleting personal product templates. It's always a good idea to clean up your workspace and remove any templates you no longer need. It can make things so much easier to manage!
