Our 2013 server is generating these errors about every 15 minutes. Server is SP1 with Rollup 2 (Ver. 6.1.0002.0112). Our certificates are up to date, does anyone have any ideas?

    Before the 18797 error is logged we also see error ID:25089 three time in succession:

    =================================================

    A certificate registered for use by Microsoft Dynamics CRM has expired.  Certificate type: TrustedIssuer Certificate Name: sts_servername/.../trust Expiration Date: 02/01/2015 17:36:26 Store Location:  Store Name:

    We are experiencing the same issue exactly. We've looked at ehe ADFS server in question and cannot find the expired certificate that the error refers to although it was in use up to the time it expired.

    Did you find a resolution?

    After some digging it seems that the error refers to entries in the Certificates table in the MSCRM_CONFIG database. Not certain whether it's safe to remove the reference to the expired certificate though.

    No not yet and given that there's no operational impact I'm not going to tinker with references in the content DB. Does seem like a bug though. Perhaps MS will patch it.

    Hi Paul, interestingly i'm getting an almost identical error other than the variables.

    I'm not sure if this was related to CRM being down, did you manage to find out any further information and has it had any noticeable negative impact on the system?

    thanks, David

    Has Anyone solved this issue yet? I have the exact same problem.

    I had the same issue.  If I looked in the MSCRM_CONFIG database I could see two entries for certificate data in the certificates table.  Looks like it was holding the old certificate that had expired and the new one which is current.  When I looked at the certificates in ADFS, I could only see the current cert which is valid.

    I was able to solve the problem by rerunning the Configure Claims-Based Authentication wizard and just kept all the settings the same.

    This worked for me as well. Thanks for sharing!
