Can we rename an Order Status?

Posted on by 76
Hi

We have a problem with the order status:

When we enter an order and it is ready to be dispatched, we release the order.

However, when there is a pending pre-payment (Status /Pending Pre-payment/) and the payment is received, the status changes to /Released/ but this does not mean it is release for dispatched.

Currently we have to go in and manually release the order.

Due to the nature of our business, it is not suitable to have a power automated process releasing the order for dispatch.

Are we able to change the status /Released/ (after payment is received) to something like /Payment Received/?

Thank you for looking at this.

    Hi,
Yes, this will need customisation where while the system validates the prepayment , henceforth that time you can have a boolean which says payment received.

    Hi Katarina,

I think it will need some customization.

When you create a quote, order, or credit memo, the Status field on the document header contains the status Open by default.

After you've filled in the document, you can release it, and Business Central changes the value in the Status field to Released. This status indicates that the order is ready for the next stage of processing before it's posted.

    Best Regards,
    Judy
