When my users use advanced find option of our On-Premises Dynamics CRM 2016 to search Custom Entities the 'List Tools' TAB/RIBBON is not displayed. My users CANNOT access any of the functionality of this TAB/RIBBON. This functionality is crucial to my users. Has anyone encountered this issue and if so how was it resolved please?

Markus_Moser Just wanted to say Thank you! Facing this issue today in Order Product entity, in a CRM instance that has gone through multiple upgrades since CRM 4, and now it is in CRM V9 on premise, and your workaround got the buttons back (in my case I was missing the Export to Excel buttons)

We faced the same issue in out Dynamics 8.2 environments.

It turned out that after migrating to version 8.2 there was a duplicate ribbon on the entity sub-grid ribbon (in our case quote line).

When hiding the duplicate ribbon button using Ribbon Workbench the "List Tool" tab in Advanced find showed up again.

Form and View / List custom buttons are using same JavaScript code?

Try using browser developer toolkit when user is using advanced find and look is there any errors coming.

Hi,

Browser Cache has been cleared, that was the 1st thing tried.

Custom buttons have been added to the ribbon on the entity form however each has been tested and is working fine.

All javascript has associated error handling.

Form load, change and save have javascript routines and also C# plugins however no errors are being caught and the form works exactly as it should do.

I may also point out that we upgraded from CRM 2011 to CRM2016 a few months back and it is post update that this problem has started to exist.

Hi,

Try clearing your browser cache

Also check is there any custom buttons added to that entity and custom JavaScript for button.. Sometimes if javascript has errors then it will block loading toolbar for that entity.

So, are the records not being shown?

What happens when the affected users click on the 'Results' button in the Advanced Find tab?

some generic checks:

- Ensure that the users have read access to the entity.

- try in a different browser.
