We have a financial series batch in the 'updating' status and has been for several days. Is this batch hung up and if so, can it be cleared for posting?

The status on it can be changed in SQL. Company DB in table SY00500, find the batch. In the column BCHSTTUS you will probably see a 6, change it to a 0. This will make the batch available again. Should be done by someone familiar with SQL and with proper precautions.
I've completed that change and now the status reads 'posting' but seems to be hung - can this batch be cleared?
