Hi Expert, 

I would like system to calculate how many quantity need to be produce (demand/ Forecast).

There was multiple item produce simultaneously, is it idle to create production orders - family ?

If yes, how does it work in planning worksheet ? as my testing on planning worksheet Get Action Messages is to create Production Orders - Item.

Your advice is highly appreciated.

    Wei,

    When you run MPS BC will calculate based on Demand and the Forecast you enter on the Option page, what needs to be Produced, by Item. It will produce all Production Orders for ALL Items (Finished Goods) and Sub-Assemblies. A production family is a group of individual items whose relationship is based on the similarity of their manufacturing processes. By forming production families, some items can be manufactured twice or more in one production, which will optimize material consumption.

    If you run the Planning Worksheet, use Prepare/Calculate Regenerative Plan. This will generate a Plan for all the Actions (Production Orders) you need to create.
