Reprinting journal receipts to PDF?

I am using rms 2.0 in Hq and 7 store environment. There are situations that office needs to review receipts and items that are on it.  Is there a way to reprint the receipt to a PDF ? Currently we are scanning them after reprint then emailing. We create PDF purchase orders to send to venders without issues.  I think using Opos drivers may be issue. Thinking of using generic window driver but reconfig cash drawers and all seems a bit much for something simple.  Any ideas?

    PDF Creator

Install PDFCreator on your PC- It will then come up as an option for a printer.

So, when you view your journal, select the print button, choose windows printer, then select PDF creator as your printer.

This will then give you the option to save a PDF to your desktop or email the PDF.

    Hope this helps.

RE: Reprinting journal receipts to PDF?

We used this method to print receipts to PDF file:

    1. Scan receipt  to image using scanner,

    2. then using a PDF creator SDK, the scanned image source will be automatically created in the form of PDF file.

Hope this can help you a little.

Hi. What Frankrizzo is suggesting is right, install any PDF printer on the PC and use it when reprinting the journal receiprts or any other document.

There are many free PDF printers, PDFCreator, doPDF, Bullzip PDF Printer or even Microsoft XPS Document writer...
