Authentication Failure Error - Outlook Client

I've had Dynamics CRM 2011 Outlook client installed for several months with no issues. Today I'm getting an error unable to verify username and password, however I'm able to access the Web Client successful with any issue. I've tried removing the Organization using the Configuration Wizard but it keeps prompting me to enter the correct username and password, authentication failure unable to verify user name or password error.

I've also tried removing cache files under in an attempt to resolve the issue

C:\Users\{Account Name}}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\MSCRM\Client

After removing the Organization I'm unable to add a new organization, I've tried several different accounts but all produces the same error, unable to verify user name and password.

User has Outlook 2010 32bit

Try to clear any CRM Credentials in the Credential Manager in the control panel. I had this same problem a couple weeks ago and this fixed it.

I'm having the same issues, can sign in fine with web client using external URL but cant setup outlook plugin.

Ive cleared all credentials, cleared IE cache, uninstalled sign in assistant etc. but nothing works.

I'm using CRM 2011 workgroup edition onPremise, the URL are as follows (all HTTPS:// on port 443):

    web access is: dsm.digxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xx.com

AD FS Auth is: adfs.digxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xx.com (the above URL passes the auth request to this URL for AD FS to handle)

    Discovery address is: crm.digxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xx.com/.../Discovery.svc

The address I'm using in the outlook client config is: crm.digxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xx.com

This (once credentials are cleared) brings up a login prompt (live ID like) in which I enter my domain username and password (domain\username) and I then get an error:

Cannot connect to CRM because we cannot authenticate your credentials.

I should also add I'm using a AD CA created SAN certificate, and the CA cert is added to client machine I'm trying to setup the plugin with, all URLS when used in the browser work fine (no SSL warnings) and the discovery address brings up the discovery XML page.

Also I have tried using the same URL I use in the web client but this brings up a different error.

@KevinDavisPE, thanks for the help your suggestion solution worked. The credential were cache for the user and was creating the error. Once I removed it from the Credential Manager then try connection using the connection wizard all worked great. Thanks.
