GP 10 Installation on Windows 7 Professional (64-Bit)

We are using GP Dynamics 10 installed on Server 2008 R/2 and SQL

Our clients are mostly XP Pro/SP3 and there have been no issues.  We also have a smattering of Windows 7 computers with GP Dynamics loaded.  However, I have a new PC that has Win7 (64-Bit) OS.  I have created the Data Connection and I have loaded the GP Client, but when I attempt to run the GP Utilities, my server does not show up in the server drop down.  In fact...nothing shows up in the server drop down.

I have downloaded all Microsoft updates and installed them.  I have also searched the knowledge base for any help with loading GP Dynamics on a Windows 7 PC and on 64-Bit Operating Systems.  Is anyone aware of issues with my situation?

    Mike,

It sounds like you may have created a 64-bit ODBC data source and not a 32-bit one.  Since GP is a 32-bit application you need to create a 32-bit ODBC data source.  To do that, run the Odbcad32.exe file, found in the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ directory.

Completely agree.  If you want a line to use in a script or from the command line, you can run

    %WINDIR%\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe.

Thank you Victoria and Carl.  Totally slipped my mind.
