My organisation is on Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online 2015 Update (7.1.1.4314)(DB 7.1.1.4314) but I can't find the "Enable full text search" option.
Help please.

Thanks for the quick response, but I've looked there and that option is not there. I'm assuming it will be in the General tab, in the "Set up Quick find" section?

Full Text Search is not available for CRM Online Yet, Only Onpremise;
Full-Text Quick Find from CRM 2015 0.1 Update:
For On Premise only*
Turned Off by default. Must be enabled in System Settings (as per below image)
Text based FIND columns use SQL full-text indexes.

For CRM OnLine you can get it enable. You'll have to open a ticket with support and you might have to prove you need it. for example your wildcard search is timing out.

did you ever try to get full text search enabled by Microsoft in Dynamics 365 (Online)? We have an issue with order of KA search results in case screen and would like to use Full text search.
Also do you know if Full text search results as ordered based on Rank?
