Hi All,

Please let me know how I can identify a new customer creation in business central as an approver? As an approver, segregate approval notifications for a new customer creation alert and a change in existing customers.

I have the same question (0)

Each customer has a system created datetime - called “Created At”. It’s accessible as a filter condition. You would need to use t.. most likely as the filter. I tried this and it only fires on the new customers.

A customer record is changed is then a different trigger so another workflow can be setup for that anyway

Start wizard of "Setup a customer approval workflow" on assisted setup page.
Choose option "The user changes a specific field".

Default setting is "when credit limit is changed".

"SystemCreatedAt" field or "SysteModifiedAt" field might be useful for your requiement.

    Roger,

Base BC you can setup the Workflow (standard) for Customer Approval.

As for a change, you could create your own Workflow depending on the Change you want to workflow. You can also use Power Automate, which offers more flexibility.

    Thanks,

    Steve
