Business Process Flow still showing after deactivation?

There was a BPF that would occasionally show on my accounts. I recently deactivated it with the hopes of never seeing it (either in my web, mobile, etc.)

Now when opening an account (sometimes---not all the time), the BPF still shows with a yellow ribbon beneath telling me it's been deactivated. Any way to completely remove the BPF so it doesn't show on the record?

Thanks,

BB

    Yes,

even after you deactivated, it will still somehow show in record, but with a little yellow warning bar to stated , this bpf is deactivated. If you do not want your user to see the bpf, remove the bpf privilege from Security role.

Setting > Security > Security Roles > Select the role > Business Process flow tab > remove all the rights from the

bpf you do not want to show.

Thanks for the response! What about if it's just me...I went to the 'Security Roles' but don't know from there what to select? I have no other users than just myself.

    Hi,

if you only have 1 user in your crm, you cant remove the privilege, because you are the system administrator and this security role is not editable.

But , if let's say, you have another user. , he is having sales person role, then go to the sales person security role, remove the bpf privilege.

    Hi,

Please consider if the user is having multiple roles and teams. You have to remove from all the security roles and the security role associated with team.

    Hi,

Simplest way to put a js code to hide it, create on js web resource and add following code under method which you can call on load of the form, refer:

          Xrm.Page.ui.process.setVisible(false); //Hide Business Process Flow

          Xrm.Page.ui.process.setVisible(true);  //Show Business Process Flow

    Hi,

Please refer to below pictures for your reference

i logged in as User 2, and the bpf is showing.

user 2 is having sales person role.

    Hi,

Once the Process if associated with the Record, deactivating the Process won't remove them from them. This is because the ProcessId field contains the GUID of the process.

the only way to control the flows would be the security roles. So you would need to define security roles for each form and BPF to control the availability of BPF for each form.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi,

    Attached.

Another method you could have a try.

•First of all, we should not directly delete the business processes as clients might ask to reactivate the same and we don’t want to rework on the complex logic we have already implemented.

•So, to remove above issue while keeping backup of the business process, we will have to follow below steps: ◦Go to Setting > Processes

â—¦Select the business process flow and deactivate it.

â—¦Open Business process flow and click on the Save As option from the top ribbon.

â—¦Delete the old business process flow.

•After following above steps, you should be able to see that, business process section from existing records is removed and no warnings are shown at the same time, we have backup of the process which we can reactivate in future if needed.
