Dynamic CRM 2011 plugin killing Quick Access Toolbar in Outlook

As the title reads, every time I install the plug in for outlook, it would basically clear out my Quick access toolbar. I cannot track or set regarding to any e-mail. It has been uninstalled and installed numerous times. 

One thing I've noticed is that every time I've uninstalled it, it doesn't seem to get removed from the programs list in 'Add and Remove Programs.' I would try to uninstall it again but it looks like it is trying to go into the process of trying to re-install itself. When re-installing with the setup, it would go through without any issues.

I am running Outlook 2010 and have tried to updated to the latest roll up to no avail. If I disable the add-in all the Icons would show back up.

    You can try uninstalling CRM Client for outlook, using Fix it i.e. support.microsoft.com/.../Program_Install_and_Uninstall

    Also, are you using CRM Online or CRM On Premise?

    What is current update rollup installed for CRM client for outlook?

    Does this happen with one or multiple user?

    Thanks for the quick response.

    This is for CRM online and the current roll up installed is 8. It seems to be happening to only one user currently. We've upgraded the office from 2007 to 2010.

    I was able to finally get the CRM plugin for outlook uninstalled by using the old Windows Installer Clean up app, but now I cannot re-install.

    This behavior may occur because of registry keys that are left over from an earlier version of Microsoft Outlook.

    To resolve this problem, follow these steps:

    1.Exit Outlook.

    2.Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.

    3.Locate the following registry subkey:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{2DF8D04C-5BFA-101B-BDE5-00AA0044DE52}

    4.Right-click the 2.4 registry key, and then select Export. Save the export to your desktop to create a backup.

    5.Right-click the 2.4 key again, and then select delete.

    6.Now try to install CRM Client for outlook and let us know if issue still persist.

    Problem still persists. I deleted the key and restarted the machine.Tried to run the re-install and still giving the same error.

    Try below steps:

    • Delete temporary files and IE cache.

    • Delete MS CRM folder from program files in C Drive i.e. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

    • Take a backup of the registry by clicking Start>Run>Regedit>File > Export. Ensure that “All” is selected under Export Range, then enter a name and click Save.

    • Delete all of these keys that still exist

    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 for Microsoft Office Outlook

    •  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSCRM

    •  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSCRMClient

    •  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSCRMMsgStore

    •  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSCRMIntegration
