Hello,

I’ve set up a General Journal Lines Workflow for journal approvals. However, we occasionally need to update the Posting Date or Document Date after a line has already been approved. When we do this, the Approval Status changes to "Imposed Restriction," which then triggers a second approval cycle.

I’ve reviewed the available Workflow Event/Response Combinations but haven’t found a way to prevent this behavior. Is there any way—without custom development—to allow updates to the Posting Date or Document Date after approval without requiring re-approval?

General Journal Lines Workflow forces re-approval if posting/document date is updated

It's not possible using standard functionality. If you make a change to an approved entry it needs re-approval.
