Hi All,

I get this error for a couple of entities when I try to download the templates for data import.

Is there an easy way of identifying which fields are duplicates? I'm assuming that it is duplicate field names in the schema, and I've tried visually comparing the schema names on the fields, but can't see any duplicates.

Any ideas?

Hi,

You need to look for display names under the entity fields, then you can figure out the same name fields.

change the field display name to something else, save and publish customizations, repeat the process of identifying the duplicate display name for the all the entities you are facing.

then try to download the template.

Hi

You need to find out the duplicate column header from the customization > Entities > example > Lead > then Fields filter by Display name and find the same display name fields and modify the display name and save , publish the customizations.

then you should be able to import the template for data import.

Hi,

I am having the same issue on a custom entity and my custom entity indeed has some duplicate display names. The error only occurs in QA Region. The error is not reproduced in Dev Region despite both Dev and QA have duplicate display names.

So my question is - Is there any setting that allows duplicate display names to be exported ? which is probably causing the dev region to work ?

You must be having more than one field with the same display name. So to go to Settings->customiztaions->Entities->Entity(Entity in which you are getting error message)->Click on Display Name->Scroll until you get more than one fileds with same name. remove the unused one. And Done

You can try to export Opportunity fields using XrmToolBox and check in excel instead of going to multiple pages in CRM UI, it will help to make sure there is not duplicate display name field.
