Business Central Sales Order with Price of Zero

Greetings,

We are attempting to close out a sales order in Business Central for products that we gave away as samples. We require the price to be 0, but BC says that it needs to have a value greater than 0. What is a work around for this solution? This is preventing us from closing out sales orders.

Thanks for your time.

Put a price and then apply 100% discount. You will need to ensure the general posting setup has a sales discount g/l account.

    Hi

Is there an extension checking this? Yes, do 100% discount may workaround this control

The 100% discount also says it cannot be that high because the price cannot fall to 0.

    Hi,

Please try to put a minimum value for an item e.g. 0.01 / 0.1. Complete the process and then issue the credit note for it.

    I hope it helps.

It sounds like you have an extension or localization that is preventing this.  Base Business Central you just set the Unit Price to Zero and post.  No issues.

I believe you can just leave the price fields fields blank and it will go thru as 0.00.
