Default dimension value not updating in journal line when created through Configuration Package

Hi All,

In the GL account card, I set PROJECT dimension value TOYOTA as default dimensions with SAME CODE.


I used a configutation package to create a journal, in the configuration package i have not included the dimension PROJECT using "Dimension as column" feature. Because since it is a default dimension value, not required to even keep that project dimension column.

In configuration package, after doing an  import from excel, then done apply package. In journal, that default dimension value TOYOTA is not coming.

Please advise.

Note: i tested included the dimension PROJECT column also in the configuration using "Dimension as column" feature, still not working

    Are you validating the g/l account no. in the import?

    Yes, that G/L account no. is validated in configuration package.

    I think a caveat of using the "dimensions as columns" feature is to have the default dimension or dimension value table in the package. It will be unused by you but it's part of the inner workings. If you show the tooltip of the "dimensions as columns" field it mentions which table exactly.
