Push personal views through multiple environments

Background Information:

I am working on a huge Microsoft Dynamics project and the amount of system views I am creating based on specific business unit needs is ridiculous. The amount of views is so high it makes it difficult for specific business units to do their job because of off the irrelevant views available. So I was thinking to myself why not create personal views for each business unit then share those views with who needs them. All that said my idea is good in theory but not very practical because I would need to repeat my work in production.

Question:

Is there a way to push personal view from a development enviroment to a production enviroment?

Yes, the XrmToolBox offers a Personal view Migration Tool: www.xrmtoolbox.com/.../Carfup.XTBPlugins.PersonalViewsMigration

Alternately, look at using the Apps functionality inside of D365 to build apps for each relevant business unit that only includes the Views they care about.  Apps are a great way to streamline what a specific user sees, down to the entities in their app, the form they use, and the views.  Might be a much more comprehensive way to solve your issue.

Would the same apply to dashboards and charts?

Dashboards, yes.  I think charts are global, though.

But seriously, open up the app editor and take a look, I'm betting it's going to be a revelation for a project that sounds as complex as yours.

Sounds like it! You can create personal charts. I am going to push for the use of apps. Thank you for your time.
