Vendor address import via data management tool

Posted on by 20

Hi Community,

I am attempting to import the vendor address using the data management tool in dynamics 365. The entity that I am using to import the vendor address is called Vendor postal addresses.

I manage to fill in all the required information on the import template, however, when I try to import the file, the system is giving an error that I need to fill in the address location id.

Where can I get the information on what to fill in for the address location id?

Kind Regards,
Rendani

    Hi,

It will not have any impact on your future opeartion.

Delete the column and it will automatically generate the address location id based on the default number sequence.

    Hi MATTGUO,

Your solution worked. Thank you very much.

Does doing this way not have any impact that I might run to in the future?

    Hi Rendani,

In addition, delete the addresslocationid column in import file is the easiest way.

    Hi Rendani,

Can you tell which exact columns you did provide in your source file?

You Need to adjust your mapping Definition in the Import Project:

This will cause, that LocationId is fetched from numbersequence - or you have to populate any LocationId in your Import file.
