Is it possible to disable an extension momentarily

We have an extension that we want to disable momentarily while we bring in some imported records. Is that possible, or do we have to uninstall/reinstall the extension?

Hi, As far as I understand this is not possible.

Although it is possible to remove the Extension permissions set so that users cannot use it, but this may cause errors when importing data, such as some TableExtensions have been added.

I recommend uninstalling it temporarily so that it will still show up in Extension Management page, and then install it again after you've finished importing your data.

Hi kjjson ,

You have to uninstall that app, but dont unpublish, after done your activity, re-install that app again.

Not sure why you want to disable it, are you trying to prevent the app logic ?

You can uninstall first (keep it published). After importing your data, you can install it back.

This cannot be done but based on the requirement's what you can do is perhaps use a Boolean value in a setup screen to enable/disable certain validations
