Failed to Import Solution from CRM on-premise 2016 to Microsoft Dynamics 365

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I export customization in crm 2016 on-premis as a solution. This solution have reports in it. When i tried to import this solutionto Dynamics 365. One of the report cause an error that makes me unable to import this solution.

Is there a direct way to exclude the report from the solution ? (i mean edited the solution.zip). Because i don't want to export the solution from the sources.

    Hi alagu,

    I was unzip the solution.zip, edit the customization.xml and re-zip those file. The message that indicate report make an error has gone. However, when i import this solution. I got this following error.

    Which node should be removed to fix this problem ?

    Your Zip file must contain only Solution.xml, Customizations.xml and [Content_Types].xml . I think open your new zip file and check if only these three are present. If not copy these 3 files and zip it. Rename this Zipped folder as your solution name and import.

    Hi

    You can unzip the the solution.zip. Edit customizaion.xml file In which there is node called reports. There you can remove your report.

    <ImportExportXml xmlns:xsi="www.w3.org/.../XMLSchema-instance">
