After updating X-Charge on my server, I can no longer run RMS SO Manager. I get Run-time error '430' Class does not support Automation or does not support expected interface. Our cash registers work fine interfacing with the database on the server as does the back office machine. Just can't get RMS Manager to open on the server any more due to error.
What does this error mean and how do I correct it?

Jane,
I would try doing a "Repair" install first. If that doesn't work, then try Ryan's suggestion. You may still need to have the disk handy.
Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | find the RMS entry and double click on it | select the Support button | select Repair
Jane,
This basically means something broke in the COM registration on that particular machine. Don't fear, the fix is easy. You'll need your RMS disks, but all you have to do is uninstall RMS from that single computer. Don't worry your settings will be intact and it will not affect the other users. Then just re-install off the disks. Be sure to apply any Service Packs and/or Hot Fixes applied to the rest of your computers. This does the trick every time!
