Alternate Vendors and Planning Worksheet UOM

Hi, 

I am using the the planning worksheet to organise purchase orders, and am using an alternate Vendor. On the Item card, it is a default Uom and the Alternate vendor has a different UoM. Is there a way to have the UoM update  in the planning worksheet to be the UoM automatically when vendor is changed, or does this need to be updated manually?

    Alternate Vendors and Planning Worksheet UOM
    When using the Planning Worksheet, changing to an alternate vendor with a different UoM doesn't auto-update the UoM—it stays as the item’s default. You need to update it manually. To automate this, a small AL customization is needed to fetch and apply the vendor-specific UoM when the vendor is changed.

    Hello,
     
    In Business Central, the planning worksheet does not automatically update the Unit of Measure (UoM) when you change the vendor, so it needs to be updated manually.
     
    To streamline this process, you can set up item cross-references for each vendor to specify their UoM on the item card, ensuring consistency when creating purchase orders.
     
    Alternatively, you might consider custom development to automate this update based on the selected vendor.
