Nothing to Handle on Warehouse Pick

Hello:

I'm trying to create a pick and am being told that there is nothing to handle.

I have sufficient quantity at the location and bin.

But, should the item quantity first be at "a different bin" before I can pick it?  If so, how do I transfer an item from one bin to another in the same location?

Thanks!

John

    Hi Again, Josh:

I figured it out!  It's strange that I had to conduct a reclass to transfer the quantity from the location that I wanted to pick it from in the first place!  ???

    But, whatever, it worked!

Thanks, again, for your excellent service!

Thanks, Josh, for the information on Bin Content!  That's excellent advice!

Bin Content shows that I have a quantity of 2 for the item at the location and bin.  I'm only trying to pick a quantity of 1.  Do you know what I'm being told that there's "nothing to handle"?

Depends on the location/bin setup. The method to move to another bin can be seen here: docs.microsoft.com/.../inventory-how-count-adjust-reclassify

Reclassification enables movement between locations, bins and more.

I would also check out a page called bin content. If you choose the right one, it will display a line per location, per bin, per item. On there it will tell you what is available to be picked. Also tells you what process is waiting completion if the value is 0. It’s typically a put-away.
