I am trying to pull data on the number of times a user logs into the CRM during a specified time period.  Is this something I can pull on my own or does it have to be developed?

I am extremely surprised that I do not see a 'Last Logged In' date on the user's record/profile.

There are no specific reports as such. If you are using on-premise version of CRM, you can develop one using the IIS log.

Below is the link to one such post which describes how to develop a Usage Report using the IIS logs

If you are not keen on developing one, you could look at the option of enabling the ‘User Audit’ from the Audit Settings (Settings Auditing Global Audit Settings Audit Settings).

Once you have set this up, you can view the Audit summary by navigating to the Audit Summary View and using filters to look for the data. Unfortunately, this wouldn’t provide you any sort of export feature for you to construct reports even in Excel.

You could turn on the audit log for users, this will give you some of the information you need.  The other methods involve quite a lot of work I'm afraid

The other solution would be to make a report using SSRS reports

CRM doesn't expose the last access attempt of a user (actually we don't store this info in the database), so we can't build a report based on standard data.

Unless you enable auditing, CRM will only record the modifications done to a record, not the time when the user just read that record.

Hence, as the data is not in the database, we cannot achieve what you propose in a standard way.

Custom coding is your only way.

    Kind regards
