Item Ledger Entries - Missing Order No

I have a wish to be able to see the sales order no. that is related to a sales shipment in the item ledger entries.

However it is blank,

On the posted sales shipment I do have the order no.
Is there a specific way that I must post to get this filled out on the item ledger entries?
I have the same question (0)

The Order No. field on the Item Ledger Entries does not show the sales order or purchase order number. The Item Ledger Entries page only shows entries that created an actual item movement, which is why you see the posted sales shipment there, the shipment is what created the movement. The sales order itself is an unposted document, so it doesn’t generate any item movement and won’t appear. The order no. you're referring to displays the order no for transfer orders, production orders, and assembly orders.

If you want the sales order number to appear on the Item Ledger Entries page, a developer would need to add that field as a customization.

    Hello,

BC does not store the Sales Order No. on Item Ledger Entries.
It only stores the Posted Sales Shipment No..
There’s no posting option to change this — it’s standard behavior.

Hi, This requires customization; the simplest way is to add a flowfield.

    Thanks.

That Order No. is not for Sales Order No.
You will need a developer to add the Sales Order No. to the Item Ledger Entry.

The Order No field is meant for other Orders based on below order type . Hence in order to store Sales order no we need to customization

customization Logic :: If document type is Shipment ,fetch the data from shipment line , if document type is retrun reciept then fetch the data from return receipt line based on condition if its linked

    Warm Regards
