Hello

I am trying to login to Unified Service Desktop client, to an installation of Dynamics CRM 2015, on-premise.

I have filled following credentials in USD interface:

3276.Capture.JPG

but i am getting following error:

1614.error.JPG

==================================================

I also tried following way of putting the username:

1373.Capture2.JPG

but got following error:

3348.error2.jpg

The credentials and domain name i am using here are the ones i use for accessing CRM web-application.

For more detail of my installation:

  • Installation is on the same Network.
  • CRM server is accessible via RDP.
  • It is a vanilla CRM installation.
  • Only CRM installation related configurations are performed, no other config is done (not sure if anything else is required to run USD)

What can be possibly wrong and do i need to configure something on CRM server specific to USD?

Thankyou

Have you run the package deployer to install the server components for usd?

This post might help explain the install process.

    Thankyou, Neil.

Both packages i.e. USD Client Installer as well as Package Deployer were giving the same error as above.

As a temporary fix I have installed both tools on the CRM server, and it works fine there.

If you have it working with client running on the server I would suggest the problem might not be usd, can you connect to crm in the web browser ok? I noticed you are using an IP address in the server box. Typically you'd enter a name not an IP.  I guess an IP address would work but I have never entered my  Usd credentials like that.

One very suspicious thing is the port number. Are you sure your CRM is running under port 5555 ? Default/general installation would happen on Port 80 until unless you changed the default port during installation of CRM.

    Thanks Srikanth.

So far i have never seen a CRM installation on port 80, 5555 is the default port which is already set in the CRM installation wizard.

Thanks Neil, yes I can connect to crm via web browser, using the credentials mentioned above in the snapshots.

Are you passing the same credentials when you open the site from IE browser ? Or is it authenticating using windows credentials?
