We have a scenario from a client who wants to see the on hand inventory as virtual table from F&SCM in the Power Pages so their customers could see the inventory using the portal. They would also like to create/update Inbound and Outbound shipment orders in WMS from the portal.
We want to get clarity on the licensing need for these requirement. Since you need to have an F&SCM license if you want to see virtual table data in PowerApps but they want to use Power Pages for external customers which will still authenticate on the Power Pages but do not belong to the customer tenant.
I was looking at this document from Microsoft and it states the difference between Anonymous and Authenticated users on the Power Pages but it doesn't clearly state the licensing need or what will happen if the logged in user on Power Pages is from external tenant?
From these documents, I understand that the external users will need to be licenses via Power Pages authenticated users. They can then interact with Dynamics 365 data as external users. Assuming the customers will not perform business operations on your behalf, these are external users as intended by the licensing guide. Microsoft has their features for external vendors which is also using Power Pages for the portal: Vendor collaboration with external vendors - Supply Chain Management | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn
