ActiveX error when Trying to Print form Report Viewer

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

When we are looking at a report in CRM Dynamics 2011 Report Viewer and try to use the Print button we are getting the following error:

---------------------------
Message from webpage
---------------------------
Printing is not available. Verify that ActiveX is enabled, or try using Internet Explorer for the desktop.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

We currently save them as PDF to print as a work around for now but would really like for this to work. Has anyone seen this error and have a fix for it?

can you run the crm under compatibility mode in IE browser and check whether it resolves this issue

We're running that in IE with all activex controls enabled for testing. Also tried it in Compatibility mode but still getting the same error. It prompts you to install the plugin but deosn't work afterwords.

Try running as a user that has admin rights to the local pc - does that work?

I looked through that and we are up to date with those updates on our reporting server and it still is not working.
