Dynamic sales to Business central sync issue:

hello everyone,

I’ve successfully completed the integration between Business Central and Dynamics 365 Sales. The Business Central data is flowing into Dataverse (Power Apps) as expected. However, after changing the data direction from Dataverse to Business Central, no data seems to be transferring. I’ve created several accounts and products in Dynamics 365 Sales, but they are not appearing in Business Central. Additionally, when I create sales quotes or sales orders in Dynamics 365 Sales, they are not being created in Business Central.

Can you guide me what should i do?
How can i create a Sales Quote from Dynamics Sales?

please give the answer, it's a humble request to you.

Regards,
Faizal Ansari.

    Hope you are well today!

Thank you for your detailed message. It sounds like you've successfully set up the Business Central ↔ Dynamics 365 Sales integration, but you're facing issues with data flowing from Sales (Dataverse) to Business Central, especially for Accounts, Products, Sales Quotes, and Orders.
Let’s walk through the steps to troubleshoot and enable Sales → BC sync, and how to create a Sales Quote in Business Central from Dynamics 365 Sales.

    Step-by-Step Troubleshooting & Setup
    1. Check Data Direction in Integration Table Mappings
    Go to Business Central:
    • Search for “Integration Table Mappings”.
    • For each relevant table (e.g., Account, Product, Sales Quote), ensure the Direction is set to:
      • From Integration Table (Dataverse → BC)
      • Or Bidirectional if you want two-way sync.
    2. Enable Coupling
Records in Dataverse (Sales) must be coupled with BC records to sync.
    • In BC, go to “Coupled Data Synchronization” or “Integration Synchronization Jobs”.
    • Use the “Couple Existing” action to manually link records.
    • Or enable auto-coupling in the CRM Connection Setup.
    3. Check Synchronization Jobs
    • Go to “Integration Synchronization Jobs” in BC.
    • Ensure jobs for Account, Product, Sales Quote, and Sales Order are:
      • Enabled
      • Scheduled
      • Not failing (check the Error Log)
    4. Verify Field Mappings
    • Go to “Integration Field Mapping”.
    • Ensure required fields (e.g., Name, Currency, Price List) are mapped correctly between Dataverse and BC.
    5. Create Sales Quote from Dynamics 365 Sales
To create a Sales Quote in BC from Sales:
    1. In Dynamics 365 Sales, create a Quote.
    2. Ensure:
      • The Customer (Account) is coupled with a BC Customer.
      • The Products are coupled with BC Items.
      • The Price List is valid and matches BC pricing.
    3. Once saved, the integration job should sync the Quote to BC.
    4. In BC, go to Sales Quotes, and you should see the synced quote.
If it doesn’t appear, check the “Integration Synchronization Errors” page in BC for details.

Optional: Use Power Automate for Custom Sync
If the standard sync is too limited or unreliable, you can use Power Automate to:
    • Trigger on new Quote in Sales.
    • Call BC API to create a Sales Quote.

Note: I collaborated with Copilot to help craft this response for clarity and completeness.
    Hope this helps some!

    Hello Faizal,

If data is not flowing from Dynamics 365 Sales to Business Central after changing the synchronization direction, it's likely due to incomplete configuration of table mappings or synchronization jobs. First, ensure that the connection between Business Central and Dataverse is active by testing it from the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Connection Setup page in Business Central. Then, check the Integration Table Mappings to confirm that entities like Accounts, Products, Quotes, and Sales Orders are mapped correctly, and that the direction is set to To Business Central or Bidirectional.

Next, go to Dynamics 365 Integration Synchronization Jobs and manually run the relevant jobs to transfer data from Sales to Business Central. If quotes or sales orders are still not appearing, make sure that the Sales Quote is created in Dynamics 365 Sales from an Opportunity and contains valid data (such as a linked account and product). In Business Central, the quote will only be created if the integration jobs run successfully and the required fields are mapped properly.

Lastly, review the Integration Synchronization Logs to check for any errors or skipped records, and correct any mapping or validation issues that may be blocking the data flow.

Hope this answer will help you!

    Regards,
    Mansi Soni
