How to cancel sales order ?

Hii,

How can I cancel the sales order & it's still visible on the sales order list page as a canceled order?

We can use correct & cancel on invoices but we can't see the same functionality for orders.

Hello,

Was the sales order manually created on BC or it came from a quote?

If the latter, I am not sure you will see it on the standard page under ACTION for you to cancel.

Hi, correct & cancel is only for the Invoice after posting, and the invoice before posting does not have this function.

Sales Order does not have a standard Cancel or Close function, if you don't need it, you can delete it directly. Microsoft also prepares some batches for us to delete invoiced orders.

If you want to keep records, you can turn on the Archive function.

Hi,

If you choose to go the route suggested by Yun Zhu below, don't forget cancelling the posted sales invoice will automatically create and post a sales credit memo which reverses the earlier posted sales invoice.

BC should prompt you with a pop up and ask if you wish to continue though.
