Workflow remains in waiting status in system jobs

I have created a workflow to send an email to a Lead when the Lead record is created. In System Jobs the workflow status reason shows as "waiting". Emails are not sent.

I use CRM for Outlook and it is set to allow CRM to send email via Outlook and my Outlook is running.

Please help me figure out how to get the workflow to send the email.

Thank you,

Force a sync from Outlook of CRM and that should flush it out.

Also, be sure that in your CRM user record, use Outlook for outgoing emails I selected.

If the workflow status is showing as waiting then check the Microsoft Dynamics Asynchronous Processing Service is running.

Have got other published workflows and do they complete successfully?

In Outlook I went to CRM > Synchronize with CRM.  It ran and then said 0 things synced.  I have confirmed that the Asynchronous Process Service is running.

I cancelled the workflows that were "Waiting".

I then selected a Lead and clicked on Run Workflow.  Now the workflow shows  Status Reason:"Waiting for Resources" instead of the previous status of just "Waiting."

Any more ideas on how to get this to run please?

I have only been able to get this one workflow to publish.  I have no other workflows that run successfully.  I have tried to create another separate workflow and I am getting an error when attempting to Publish it.  It says, "An error occurred when the workflow was being created.  Try to save the workflow again."

I have saved it again.  I don't know what the error is that is causing it not to publish.

Now on my published workflow it has changed from "Waiting for resources" back to just "Waiting."

It looks like I figured out the "Waiting" issue.  The workflow final step is send an email to the lead.  In the To line of the email I had the Dynamic value set to {Lead(Customer)}.  I changed it to {Lead(Lead)} and the workflow completed successfully.  Thank you all for your suggestions.

Now I need to figure out why I can't publish my other workflows and why it says the workflow has an error.  Perhaps I will create a new separate post for this if I can't figure it out soon.
